Tales of the White Stag

The 100% true account of the best progressive rock album I'll ever make.

Follow the Leader v1.1

This demo now includes some symphonic elements and, more importantly, DRUMS courtesy of Pat Ryan by way of IndabaMusic.com.

Follow the Leader

A modest attempt at trying to invoke a bit of Steve Hackett.

The Ocean, section 2

Don’t bother. It’s terrible. I need to do something else.

Vorsprung durch Technik

My Big Red Button now has a preloader, so no more wondering how long you have to wait for the sound samples to finish loading. Huzzah!

The Wanderer’s Theme

Happy Cinco de Mayo! One, two, three red buttons! Ah ah ah!

The Wanderer's Theme

The Wanderer’s Theme (reprise)

This demo track is a little under three minutes long right now, so give it a little time to load. Incidentally, the time signature is 5/8.

Something Audible

I’ve been inactive far too long. I finally recorded something last night. Here’s the first sputterings of what will eventually be the antagonist theme. It’s my first use of the Rocket pedal and the time signature is 7/4. I wouldn’t expect the final version to sound much like this. In fact, I’m already imagining revisions I want to make.

The Antagonist Motif

Chapter the Second

As you cross into the treeline, a misty light surrounds you and the sound of strange music fills your ears, but you give no notice and ride through it for what seems like hours. When the fog disperses, the white stag has disappeared into the thick of the forest. You pause, dismount, and look around. Ahead of you there is a soft rustling in the brush for just a moment. You quickly fetch the bow and quiver from the horse’s saddle and creep forward. Soft is your footfall as you pass through the trees. A swatch of white becomes visible in the distance, and you pull an arrow from the quiver. In utter silence, you put nock to string, string to ear, and aim high for the distance. You loose the bow, the arrow flies, and it hits its mark with an odd metallic thump.
